Ministerial Committee to discuss bill for the cancellation of the Oslo Accords
The Ministerial Committee on Legislation is expected to convene tomorrow to discuss a significant bill intended to fully cancel the Oslo Accords, the Hebron Agreement, and the Wye River Memorandum. The proposal was submitted by Member of Knesset Limor Son Har-Melech of the Otzma Yehudit faction.
According to the report by Voice of News on 🆃🅴🅻🅴🅶🆁🅰️🅼🔴, the channel associated with distinct right-wing positions, the proposed legislation seeks not only to cancel the agreements signed with the PLO and the Palestinian Authority, but also to repeal all legislation intended to implement them and to restore the legal status to what it was prior to the signing.
MK Son Har-Melech stated in response to the proposal that "after thirty years of terror attacks, withdrawals, and bloodshed, the time has come to stop being afraid and to tell the truth." She claims that the agreements constituted a "message of weakness toward the enemy" and did not bring peace or security. In a post published on the Torat Lehima - For the IDF channel, the Member of Knesset added that this is a "first and necessary step on the way to complete correction," which also includes the promotion of settlement in areas A and B.
The report on the upcoming discussion also appeared in additional political media outlets, including Dafna Liel, 🚨Ongoing Security News🚨, and News Arena, which confirm the existence of the discussion on the government schedule.
