Military escalation in southern Lebanon: Casualties among IDF forces and airstrikes

Over the past 24 hours, a significant escalation has been recorded on the northern border, as the IDF Spokesperson acknowledged the injury of four soldiers, one of them critically, as a result of an explosion of a drone launched by Hezbollah. Simultaneously, Army Radio reported an increase in the number of casualties to 7 soldiers within 24 hours due to similar attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles.

Sources identified with the Axis of Resistance, such as Al-Mayadeen Channel, described the events as a failure of Israeli defense systems, which they claim are unable to cope with the "suicide aircraft" of the resistance. Journalist Khalil Nasrallah claimed that "the professionalism of the Israeli systems is collapsing in the face of the sophisticated aircraft of the resistance" and that these involve the use of means that cannot be jammed.

On the other hand, Sputnik in Arabic reported a series of Israeli airstrikes in the Nabatieh district, which included hitting a vehicle near the town of Houmin el Tahta, as well as an attack near a hospital in the town of Toul. According to reports from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, cited by local media, the attacks resulted in the deaths of civilians and operatives in southern Lebanon and the injury of dozens more.

The reports reflect a very tense situation, as the Al-Quds Network highlights the gap between Israeli statements regarding technological successes for defense and the actual damage on the ground. Simultaneously, media outlets identified with the Lebanese government point to the severity of the damage in the Lebanese rear as part of what they call "Israeli aggression."
