According to reports in Palestinian and Israeli media channels, including Abu Ali Express and News from the Field on Telegram, Azzam Khalil al-Hayya, the son of senior Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya, died of his wounds after being hit in an Israeli strike in Gaza City yesterday. This is the fourth son of al-Hayya to be killed during the war.

Before his death was confirmed, Khalil al-Hayya, a candidate for the leadership of Hamas's political bureau, was interviewed by Al Jazeera (as published by Kan 11). In the interview, al-Hayya claimed the strike was part of an Israeli attempt to obtain concessions in negotiations "under pressure, killing, and intimidation." He added that Hamas "is not afraid of death" and that the organization demands the implementation of the first phase of the ceasefire deal as a condition for progress.

Reports brought by Hadashot 360 noted that al-Hayya accused Israel of violating agreements and claimed that since October, approximately 850 people have been killed in the Strip. Conversely, channels identified as critical of Hamas, such as Abu Ali Express, highlighted the cumulative damage to the organization's leadership and the death of the senior official's son as an event of symbolic significance.
