[52670] A dramatic day in court: Netanyahu's testimony ended early, alongside diplomatic reports
A tense day of testimony in court and diplomatic reports at the top of the agenda
A busy day took place today (May 6, 2026) surrounding the affairs of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in court. Amit Segal and ynet news report that Netanyahu's testimony in court ended earlier than planned today, at the Prime Minister's request.
On the other hand, Eli Tsipori, known for his stance supporting Netanyahu and his sharp criticism of the State Attorney's Office, claims that this was the 84th day of testimony, most of which was conducted behind closed doors. Tsipori accused the State Attorney's Office of conducting "frivolous discussions" and claimed that the cross-examination in Case 4000 was intended to "drag out the time and try to exhaust Netanyahu." At the same time, it was reported by ynet that Netanyahu addressed in his testimony his 2015 remark about "Arabs moving in droves to the ballot box," and clarified that his words were not directed against their right to vote.
In the diplomatic and security arena, ynet news reports according to reports in the United Arab Emirates that a conversation took place between the ruler of the Emirates, Bin Zayed, and Prime Minister Netanyahu.
Meanwhile, another legal development was recorded in the security field: the court rejected the appeal of the Gaza flotilla activists regarding their detention. The decision stated that "no error was found in the court's decision" regarding them, and thus their detention remains in effect.
