In a series of timed statements, Russian officials accused Germany of adopting a political and military line aimed at a direct confrontation with Moscow. Russian Ambassador to Berlin, Sergey Nechayev, claimed in an interview with the "Izvestia" news agency that Germany is undergoing a process of "accelerated militarization," which includes a significant increase in Bundeswehr forces and the infusion of massive budgets into the security sector. According to him, as reported in RT and the TASS news agency, the administration in Berlin is shifting its focus from military aid to Ukraine toward the extensive supply of "long-range UAVs."

At the same time, the German Embassy in Russia clarified, in a conversation with "Izvestia," that Germany does not plan to supply long-range TAURUS cruise missiles to Ukraine, a statement published in BBBreaking. Conversely, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, wrote in Sputnik that the only way to prevent a "great massacre" is to create a sense of fear in Europe regarding the "unacceptable damage" that would be caused to them in the event of a confrontation.

According to Rus Delfi, Estonia's security forces published a report warning that Russia is expected to restore its military capabilities and regain full combat readiness as early as 2027. The report emphasizes that despite heavy losses in the fighting in Ukraine, Moscow continues with deep military reforms.
