Tightening of Security Cooperation Between Israel and the UAE

Against the backdrop of regional tensions, the Telegram channels Hamiian-e Pezeshkian and Akharin Khabar reported on a phone call held by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed. According to the reports, which are based on the official Emirates News Agency, Netanyahu expressed support for the country's steps to "maintain its security and stability." These channels, identified with a line critical of Israel, note that the call took place against the background of condemnations from other regional leaders regarding the attacks the UAE has sustained.

At the same time, the channel Fars International and Foreign Policy, identified with the positions of the Iranian establishment, revealed details about the deepening of military cooperation between Jerusalem and Abu Dhabi. According to the report, which relies on the British newspaper 'Financial Times', Israel has transferred advanced weapons systems to the UAE, including the "Spectro" detection and monitoring system, which is capable of identifying drones from a range of up to 20 kilometers.

Additionally, it was reported that Israel supplied the UAE with a version of the "Magen Or" (Iron Beam) laser defense system. This is a system that was first used at the beginning of the current year to defend cities in Israel against Hezbollah rocket barrages. The 'Fars' channel notes that according to its sources, this is not just about technological equipment: "The number of forces present on the ground is not insignificant," and that the deployment of equipment and forces in Emirati territory is ongoing.

The political talks, as reported in the 'Fars' channel, also included appeals by Bin Zayed to King Abdullah II of Jordan and the Prime Minister of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, in an attempt to form a broad regional front around security stability in the Gulf.
