According to reports by Iran International, which is identified with the Iranian diaspora opposition and is a harsh critic of the Tehran regime, many citizens are reporting a rapid deterioration in their living conditions. Residents describe a situation where basic goods, medicines, and medical services have become a luxury, as according to user testimonies on the network, the cost of medical procedures such as an endoscopy has reached 27 million tomans, while the minimum wage does not exceed 16 million.

According to the report, the dollar has crossed the 186,000 toman threshold, which leads to a daily rise in prices that critically harms the middle class and the weaker strata.

The economic crisis is also paralyzing the business sector. Iran International reports that hotels and businesses on Kish Island were forced to fire many employees due to a lack of demand. Business owners in Tehran describe a "total collapse" of purchasing power; one merchant noted that "the business is officially dead" while he struggles to meet rent payments.

Against the backdrop of the data, a sense of despair among the public is prominent. Industrial workers, such as petrochemical workers in Mahshahr, are protesting due to non-payment of wages for months. Citizens report that alongside the economic distress, there is an atmosphere of fear and suspicion, with many avoiding carrying mobile phones in public places for fear of being caught as "spies".
