Maritime tension: Tehran refutes reports of American activity in the Strait of Hormuz

The Iranian news agency Tasnim issued a series of statements strongly denying reports in foreign media, according to which the cargo ship "ALLIANCE FAIRFAX" of the "Maersk" company crossed the Strait of Hormuz under American military escort and protection. According to Tasnim, these reports are "inaccurate" and there is no official confirmation from the operating company regarding the execution of such a passage.

In a detailed report published on the Al-Mayadeen channel, it was emphasized that according to the ship's Automatic Identification System (AIS) data, the last signal received from it was transmitted about 65 days ago, while it was anchored near the coast of the United Arab Emirates. It was further noted that "reliable maritime traffic tracking sites" did not publish any documentation supporting the claim regarding the ship's crossing of the strait.

At the same time, Fars Agency quoted informed sources who claimed that two American commercial ships, which Washington claimed crossed the strait, actually remained "stuck in a rocky area." The sources added that navigation in rocky and shallow areas in the south is "extremely dangerous," which casts doubt on the Western narrative regarding the movement of vessels in the region.

The reports are conveyed by media outlets identified with the Axis of Resistance, such as Al-Mayadeen and Baghdad Today Agency, which emphasize the Iranian narrative that denies the Western reports and labels them as a misguided or biased journalistic attempt.
