Ahead of the opening of the Knesset's summer session next week, political uncertainty is growing regarding the fate of the Conscription Law. According to reports published on Zirat HaHadashot and Hadashot Bazman on Telegram, relying on publications in 'Yedioth Ahronoth' and ynet, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's circle is signaling messages of difficulty to the Haredi parties.

The central difficulty stems from assessments that Knesset members who will not be in the next Knesset "will not hesitate now to vote against" the law, since they have nothing to lose politically. Sources in Netanyahu's circle clarify that the lack of guaranteed support among all coalition members makes the legislative task complex and dangerous for the stability of the government.

At the same time, efforts continue within the Haredi sector to reach an agreed-upon solution. According to a report in 'Zirat HaHadashot', the 'Degel HaTorah' party is currently working in an attempt "to convince the leaders of the Lithuanian public to remove the opposition to the Conscription Law." This is a critical internal effort, as without agreement within the Lithuanian stream, the Haredi representatives in the Knesset will struggle to advance the long-awaited outline.
