Nationwide Wave of Raids on Recruitment Offices: Suspicion of Corruption Amounting to Approx. 92 Million UAH

The National Police of Ukraine has launched a large-scale operation against officials of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers (TCC). According to reports from Times of Ukraine, Lachen Fish, and TSN, dozens of searches were conducted in 16 regions across the country, in the framework of which over 150 administrative cases were opened for corruption offenses.

The primary suspicions concern illicit enrichment and false asset declarations by officials, totaling approximately 92 million hryvnia. BBC News Ukraine reported that during the raids, luxury Tesla vehicles, motorcycles, and significant amounts of cash in local and foreign currencies were confiscated.

A central focus of the investigations is the head of the Odesa recruitment office, who, according to Ukraine Online and The All-Seeing Eye, managed to accumulate assets worth over 45 million hryvnia during his tenure in the position. Additionally, Suspilne notes that among the seized documents was an agreement for receiving "non-repayable financial aid" in the amount of one million hryvnia.

In parallel with official activities, violent incidents on the streets were reported in Odesa. According to Trukha Ukraine and Monaco Battalion, a local driver collided with TCC vehicles and attempted to flee the scene, which led to a police chase. Suspilne Odesa also reported further allegations by a soldier released from captivity, who claimed he was attacked and kidnapped by individuals in uniforms without identification markings, an event currently under disciplinary review.
