A Difficult Morning on the Roads and in Public Spaces

This morning (03.05.2026) began with a series of tragic events across Israel. Rescue forces dealt with several scenes of fatal traffic accidents and an incident of violence, which claimed the lives of several citizens.

Traffic Accidents on the Country's Roads

Hot News and Israel News IL reported a fatal accident on Highway 90 near the Hazeva Junction, in which a man aged about 50 was killed. Two vehicles were involved in the accident, and in addition to the deceased, a man and a woman aged about 60 were moderately-to-seriously injured and evacuated by helicopter to Soroka Hospital. A Magen David Adom paramedic noted that "we were forced to pronounce him dead at the scene" following prolonged extrication operations. Earlier, Hatzalah Yesha Without Borders SSF reported another accident on Highway 60 near Rehelim, in which a 20-year-old youth riding a motorcycle was killed after being struck by a vehicle. Paramedics noted that "we provided him with medical treatment that included prolonged resuscitation efforts, but unfortunately, at the end of them, we were forced to pronounce his death".

Incidents of Violence and Pedestrian Injuries

In the crime sector, Hot News reported a severe incident of violence in Shfaram, in which a man aged about 50 was shot. MDA medic Mohammed Souad described that the wounded man was found lifeless with "penetrating injuries to his body".

At the same time, at the Shomrat Junction in the north, a pedestrian aged about 25 was struck by a vehicle. According to the report in Hot News, the wounded man was evacuated to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya suffering from a head injury, and his condition is defined as serious but stable.
