During May 1, 2026, Ukrainian Telegram channels reported a series of drone attacks aimed at the cities of Rivne and Ternopil in Western Ukraine. According to reports from Київ ІНФО | Новини Україна, powerful explosions were heard in the cities and columns of smoke were identified rising from the impact areas.

On the channel ЦАПЛІЄНКО_UKRAINE FIGHTS, which is identified with a distinct pro-Ukrainian stance and supports the war effort, it was noted that Ternopil was attacked by continuous waves of drones. According to the channel, "They are entering the attack one after the other" and there is grave concern for human life. Channel sources noted that religious ceremonies were taking place in the city's churches during the attack, a fact that highlights the tense situation in the area.
