A large-scale wave of aerial attacks in Ukraine

Overnight and this morning (May 1, 2026), Ukraine experienced a widespread drone (UAV) attack by Russia. According to reports on the Лачен пише channel — which demonstrates a pro-Ukrainian stance and sharply criticizes Russia — the city of Rivne was directly attacked, and heavy explosions were heard there as a result of the strike.

The monitoring channel Aeris Rimor published a sequence of warnings throughout the night, indicating that dozens of drones had entered Ukrainian airspace from the east. The warnings included many locations, including Vinnytsia, Ternopil, Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi, and the Kyiv region. According to Aeris Rimor, groups of drones were also identified near the city of Rivne, moving toward targets such as Mizoch and Dubno.

In the Dnipro region, the channel Реальный Днепр ⚡️Кривой Рог | Дніпро Світло called on residents of the Zelenodolsk area to enter shelters urgently following the detection of drones in the area. Additionally, "jet"-powered unmanned aerial vehicles were identified in the Ripky, Liubech, and Slavutych areas.

The monitoring channels highlighted the use of low-altitude flight tactics over bodies of water, as noted in the Aeris Rimor report, where a call was made to the public to use air defense reporting applications. The attack was spread over a wide front, with sources indicating constant drone movement throughout the late night hours until the morning hours.
