Ukrainian security authorities have announced the end of the state of alert in the Kyiv region and Dnipro district following the identification of suspicious aerial objects.
Alarms and air activity in Kyiv and Dnipro
During the night of May 2, 2026, Ukraine experienced increased air activity that led to the triggering of attack alerts. The Telegram channel Реальний Київ | Украина reported the detection of an aerial object resembling a "sond" (research balloon or unmanned aerial vehicle) that was making its way toward the city of Boryspil, a report that was also verified by the Труха⚡️Київ channel.
Simultaneously, similar air activity was reported in the Dnipro region. Local news channels, including НУ І ДНІПРО! 🇺🇦, Дніпро Оперативний 🇺🇦| Війна and Суспільне Дніпро, monitored the security situation in the area.
After several hours of alert, the authorities and local channels published notifications of "otboy trevogi" (cancellation of alert). The Реальний Київ | Украина channel provided updates on the end of the alert in the Kyiv region, while Dnipro channels, including Реальный Днепр ⚡️Кривой Рог | Дніпро Світло, confirmed that at 04:00 AM, the restrictions in the Dnipro district were lifted and the situation returned to normal.
