Ahead of the May 9 celebrations, the municipality of Kaspiysk has announced extensive road closures during rehearsal days and the parade itself. According to Нетипичная Махачкала © | Дагестан, traffic will be blocked on major streets in the city, including Lenin and Kirov streets, between 04:00 and 14:00 on May 2, 5, 7, and 9.

At the same time, the issue of financial grants for World War II veterans is sparking public debate. The channel NEWS.VL | Владивосток и Приморье, which takes a critical line toward government social policy, notes that the federal grant will amount to only 10,000 rubles. According to NEWS.VL, this is a sum that seems "modest" compared to neighboring countries, as in Kazakhstan the corresponding grant reaches about 800,000 rubles and in Belarus about 133,000 rubles.

At the local level, significant changes were recorded in the payment policy in the Komi Republic. The channel Правовой уголок офицера, which focuses on legal and military issues, reports on an update to a government decree for 2026: the grant for disabled war veterans and war participants has been raised to 200,000 rubles (compared to 50,000 in 2025), while grants for other populations, such as widows and home front workers, have been significantly reduced compared to last year.
