Security authorities in Ukraine reported on May 1st a widespread wave of alarms and air raids in central cities and regions, including Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, and Kharkiv.
Widespread wave of air alerts and drone attacks across Ukraine
During May 1, 2026, Ukrainian media and authorities reported a series of air alerts and fears of UAV attacks that affected a large number of regions. According to Київ ІНФО | Новини Україна 🇺🇦, alarms were activated in the Boryspil and Brovary areas, while Київ | Times noted that it was a "UAV threat" that also expanded to the Obukhiv district.
Additional centers under air attack included the Dnipro region, where channels such as НУ І ДНІПРО! 🇺🇦 and Дніпро Оперативний 🇺🇦| Війна reported a series of alerts throughout the day. In Odesa, Одесса INFO ⚓️ 🇺🇦 Новости | Одеса and Суспільне Одеса monitored the threats, while Думская. Одесса. Война в Украине reported repeated rounds of alarms in the south of the country.
In northeastern Ukraine, Суспільне Харків updated on alerts in the Kharkiv region and within the city itself. At the same time, Новини Еспресо.TV (which takes a critical line against Russian aggression) reported explosions heard in Ternopil and noted the tense situation in various areas under alerts. Безпечний Район also noted the infiltration of a pair of UAVs that passed over Khmelnytskyi towards Rivne.
The Kyiv Regional Administration (🇺🇦 Київська обласна військова адміністрація) managed ongoing reports regarding the entry and exit of regions into a state of emergency, including prolonged alarms in Bila Tserkva, Vyshhorod, and Fastiv. The situation remained tense with shifting reports of a "UAV threat" in several sectors until late at night.
