Extensive drone attack on southern Ukraine

Over the past 24 hours, continuous waves of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been reported launched toward the Odesa Oblast and other locations across Ukraine. According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, dozens of drones penetrated the airspace from the east and from the direction of the Black Sea, targeting strategic areas such as Chornomorsk, Izmail, and Lymanka.

The military reporting channel monitor updated on a series of waves, noting in one report "14 UAVs in the direction of Izmail District" (according to monitor). Simultaneously, the alert channel єРадар reported "two groups of UAVs heading toward Odesa" (according to єРадар), using complex maneuvering tactics over the Black Sea to mislead air defense systems.

Additional reports from the monitoring center Aeris Rimor indicated targeted attacks in interior Ukrainian regions as well, including in the Zhytomyr and Ternopil areas, where UAV activity was observed (according to Aeris Rimor). The Suspilne Odesa network highlighted the impact on the civilian population, relaying Home Front Command instructions to the district's residents.

Sources identified with the Ukrainian side, such as ZSU DVIG, emphasized the mixed nature of the attack and noted that various types of aircraft were used along complex flight paths. As of the latest updates, the attack is ongoing with new waves of ten "mixed-type" UAVs heading toward Primorske and Rosiyka, indicating continued Russian attempts to wear down the Ukrainian air defense system.
