According to a report by the Telegram channel Vahid Online, which is identified with opposition coverage and monitoring of human rights violations in Iran, the Revolutionary Court in Shiraz has sentenced four people to death. The four, who were arrested in connection with protests that took place in December in the city of Marvdasht, were convicted by a panel presided over by Judge Seyyed Mahmoud Sadati.

The individuals sentenced to death were identified as: Hamid-Reza Fathi, Abdol-Reza Fathi, Saeed Zarei Kordshouli, and Hamid-Reza Sabet-Rai. According to a report published on Vahid Online, the "Committee for Monitoring Detainees" is the entity that revealed the existence of the severe sentences.

The report further noted that the court's decision was preceded by significant reports that the detainees in this case were subjected to torture during their period of detention. This decision joins a series of strict legal measures implemented by the regime in Iran against participants in protest demonstrations in the country.
