A wave of harassment and fraud attempts in Turkey

In the last 24 hours, media channels in Turkey have reported on several criminal incidents that are attracting significant public attention. At the center of the reports is a woman suspected of committing a series of sexual harassment acts against male employees at various businesses in Istanbul.

According to reports from gdh, the woman would enter shops and warehouses in the Ümraniye and Bayrampaşa districts under the pretext of selling merchandise, where she would harass the employees on-site. Son Dakika Haberler Gündem note that the woman used sexually explicit language and even attempted to force physical contact, while security camera footage published by Sputnik Türkiye confirms that this is a recurring pattern of behavior in several districts of the city. According to Son Dakika Haberler Gündem, the suspect has been identified as someone who has harassed men in the past as well.

Simultaneously with the reports on the harassment in Istanbul, additional fraud networks have been exposed across the country. Haber Gündem reports on a police raid in Adana where a gang posing as "spiritual experts" (such as "Muhammet Hoca") was arrested. The group is suspected of scamming citizens under the guise of removing spells and solving personal problems, demanding approximately 15,000 Turkish Liras for each "treatment." Out of five suspects, four were officially arrested.

In another case published by Haber Gündem, a fraud network was exposed in Kadıköy that promised jobs as security guards. According to the report, a consulting firm had job seekers, including minors and people with disabilities, sign documents that turned out to be promissory notes, which led to enforcement proceedings against the victims without them ever receiving the promised work.
