Russian wave of attacks against energy infrastructure in Ukraine

During the night of July 2, 2026, the Russian military launched a massive aerial attack against critical infrastructure facilities across Ukraine. Meanwhile, in Sumy Oblast, a drone (UAV) attack on a gas station in the Zarichnyi district of Sumy resulted in the injury of three more civilians, as reported by UA Stream.

Alongside the direct fighting, severe weather conditions impacted the power grid.
