Iraq Ministry of Higher Education Update: Student transfer procedure has launched

The Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced today, July 2, 2026, the opening of the application process for student transfer and hosting at higher education institutions for the 2026/2027 academic year. According to the Ministry's instructions as published in جامعة بغداد, the application process requires the student to first contact their original educational institution (university, college, or institute) to generate the application. Students are permitted to submit up to a maximum of five requests. The Iraqi News Agency (INA) emphasized that registration will remain open until the end of the official workday on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
