According to reports from media sources in Iran, security forces and local authorities are preparing for the arrival of approximately 2,500 Afghan citizens arriving to participate in the funeral ceremony of the deceased Supreme Leader.

The Governor of Taybad, cited by media outlets such as آخرین خبر, clarified that entry into the country will take place through the Dogharun border crossing, starting 24 hours before the ceremony. So far, entry visas have been issued to 2,500 people. His announcement noted that "تمهیدات لازم برای انتقال زائران از نقطه صفر مرزی تا مشهد مقدس اندیشیده شده است" (necessary arrangements have been made for the transfer of pilgrims from the zero border point to the holy city of Mashhad).

Additional sources, including خبرفوری and اخبار روز اقتصادي, emphasize that the work plan includes the return of the Afghan citizens to the border crossing immediately after the conclusion of the ceremonies, under the supervision of the organizing companies.

At the same time, the پیام ایران channel added technical details regarding the nature of the entry, noting that it involves a "ویزای مانیفستی" (a group visa based on pre-prepared lists). According to this source, the convoys are expected to enter in groups of 40 people, with the planned duration of the stay in Mashhad being about a week, utilizing civil and institutional centers to provide services to the visitors.
