Meanwhile, Bessent warned Oman against involvement in collecting transit fees in the Strait, a move that drew sharp criticism from a Democratic senator against the Trump administration's threats.

An especially intense and tense day of fighting was recorded on the northern border. According to data from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the death toll in the country since the beginning of the fighting stands at 3,324.

The security establishment confirmed that in a targeted strike in the Gaza Strip, the commander of Hamas's Northern Gaza Brigade and his deputy (or the deputy commander of the Gaza City Brigade) were eliminated.
