On the morning of June 23, 2026, media outlets and official bodies across Ukraine participated in the national minute of silence ceremony, which takes place every day at 09:00 in memory of those who lost their lives during the Russian military aggression.

TSN News, a media outlet with a distinct pro-Ukrainian stance, emphasized that the ceremony is intended to remember all Ukrainians who perished in the war. Official bodies, including the Kyiv City Council (KMDA) and the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, called on citizens to "stop and remember those whose lives were taken in the war," while emphasizing the connection between commemorating both fighters and civilians.

In a report by Victory Drones, it was noted that this is a "minute of honor, courage, and self-sacrifice" for the fighters who fell in battles to defend Ukrainian sovereignty. Conversely, military channels such as the 92nd Brigade (92 OSHBr) and the Operations Center 'Omega' emphasized that this is a commemoration of "everyone who died at the hands of the Russian occupiers."

The common message that emerged from all the bodies, including ZN.UA and Suspilne Kherson, is that the sacrifice of the victims forms the foundation for Ukraine's future. The 'Odessa Online' network summarized it as a "daily gesture of gratitude, appreciation, and remembrance" that unites the Ukrainian people in the face of Russia's invasion.
