[95646] Widespread air alerts across Ukraine due to Russian tactical activity
Ukrainian security authorities reported increased activity of Russian tactical aviation and a threat of airstrikes on frontline areas in the east and south of the country.
High aerial tension on the Ukrainian front
In the last 24 hours, an increase in Russia's aerial military activity has been reported in several sectors in Ukraine. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of activity by Russian tactical aircraft in the northeastern, eastern, and southeastern directions, emphasizing that there is a "threat of the use of aerial attack assets for frontline regions".
On the ground, the Харьков life | Харків 🇺🇦 channel reported the official declaration of an air raid alert in the city of Kharkiv due to the same hostile aerial activity. At the same time, the НУ І ДНІПРО! 🇺🇦 channel updated on a "threat of tactical aviation in the south", while the Реальный Днепр ⚡️Кривой Рог | Дніпро Світло channel called on residents to take cover due to the "danger of launching guided aerial bombs (KAB/KAR)".
On the other hand, war_monitor, a channel that analyzes the war situation, estimated that "the probability of a massive combined attack is at a low level" as of their last update. According to the report, strategic aviation is not active, although about four Tu-95ms aircraft are on alert within western Russian territory. The channel added that there are currently no attack drones in Ukrainian skies, but there is a probability of drone group launches during the night toward cities in the south and east, including Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Odesa.
