A wave of reports swept through social media in Ukraine following the tragic death of a 19-year-old at the Hydropark in Kyiv. According to reports on Труха⚡️Київ, the youth, identified as Ostap, jumped from the Venetian Bridge and did not resurface. His body was found only three days later on the bank, about 500 meters from the jump point.
Numerous sources, including Україна Online and Київ | Times, confirmed that the young man's parents filed a missing persons report after the incident. Київ | Times emphasized that his body was located by rescue teams during preparations for the opening of lifeguard stations, although they raised doubts regarding the timeliness of the videos circulating online, noting that law enforcement authorities have yet to receive official reports similar to those for 2026.
At the same time, Дніпро Оперативний and Труха⚡️Дніпро reported another drowning incident on June 19, in which the body of a 23-year-old man was found in a water reservoir in the city of Zhovti Vody. Rescue forces located the body about six meters from the shore, and the circumstances of the incident are being investigated by the police.
The reports sparked a widespread public response, with media outlets such as Київ city issuing a call to the public: "Take care of yourselves and your loved ones. No problem is worth a lost life."
