The Ukrainian Parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, has announced the convening of a special session on Thursday, June 18, with the goal of removing the blockade on legislation concerning the funding of the needs of the Ukrainian army. David Arakhamia, head of the "Servant of the People" faction, confirmed that the session is taking place at the direct request of the Minister of Defense, Mykhailo Fedorov.

According to reports in Censor.NET and Channel 24, the primary cause for the delay in legislation is the "European Solidarity" faction, which placed a block on the bill. Danylo Hetmantsev, head of the parliamentary Finance Committee, expressed sharp criticism of the move, noting on Novyny.LIVE: "You can play politics as much as you want, you can treat the minister however you want, but to block money for the army — this is the final and lowest action, which is unworthy of a Ukrainian."

In UA Stream it was noted that the session will focus on bill No. 15224, which deals with amendments to the state budget for the purpose of securing funding for the security and defense sector.
