[85909] Chaos and unusual delays at the Ukraine-Poland border crossing at Shehyni
Transportation crisis at the Poland-Ukraine border
Extensive reports from several Ukrainian news channels indicate an operational collapse at the "Shehyni" border crossing, where long queues of hundreds of passengers have been recorded since the early hours of the night. According to Times of Ukraine, passengers have been waiting for over 10 hours due to infrastructure work on the bus lanes on the Polish side.
Officials and media outlets, including ТСН новини and Україна Online, report that the Polish side is approving the passage of no more than 8 buses every 12 hours. The situation has reached a point where, according to the report in Реальна Війна, citizens are "dropping everything and crossing the border on foot" out of fear of missing flights and transport connections.
The Львівич channel recommends that passengers choose alternative border crossings to avoid the extreme congestion created at this point. The reports, also shared by Труха⚡️Львів and БДСН, confirm that this is a significant disruption affecting hundreds of people trying to leave Ukraine at this time.
