According to a report by the STERNENKO Telegram channel, known for its distinct critical and pro-Ukrainian stance, Russia has canceled the traditional Navy Day parade in St. Petersburg for the second consecutive time. The event, which since 2017 had become a significant display of power featuring combat vessels, air shows, and the personal presence of Vladimir Putin, is not planned to take place at all this year.

According to STERNENKO reports, while the parade was held in a scaled-down format in 2024 and canceled at the last minute in 2025 due to "security considerations," this year President Putin avoided even signing the official decree for the event.

The report notes that this marks a dramatic change from the long-standing tradition of the Russian leader delivering "pompous speeches" to the military top brass.
