Combined wave of missile and drone attacks on Kyiv and Ukraine

During the night of June 2, 2026, Ukraine, with its capital Kyiv at the center, was under a massive and combined aerial attack. According to the Telegram channel Киевский Движ, the Russians launched over 40 missiles and about 300 drones of various types, while the Труха⚡️Київ channel even cited higher numbers of about 80 missiles and over 600 drones during the night.

The attack targeted civilian centers throughout the capital. According to reports in the Times of Ukraine and other channels such as Київ ІНФО, a direct hit was identified at a hospital and a polyclinic in the Teremky district of Kyiv. At the same time, a massive fire was reported to have broken out at a ZEEKR vehicle dealership following a missile strike, and damage to residential buildings and public structures, including a kindergarten, was reported by the Труха⚡️Київ channel.

Reports from the field described an atmosphere of chaos and deep fear. Київ ІНФО published footage of "columns of black smoke" rising above the center of Kyiv as a result of the suspected use of "Zircon" missiles. The Труха⚡️Київ channel even shared security camera footage of one of the hits in the city, while warning of the intensity of the explosions.

Throughout the night, residents of the capital and the region were required to stay in shelters while waves of missiles and drones, including "jet drones," were documented moving toward various targets, including Vasylkiv, Boryspil, and Boryspil. The authorities declared the end of the alert only in the early morning hours. As of now, rescue teams continue to assess the extent of the damage and the status of casualties in these events.
