Ukrainian security authorities have declared a state of high alert due to ballistic missile launches from the Crimean Peninsula and Bryansk, alongside UAV activity.
Emergency alerts across Ukraine following missile launches
On the morning of June 2, 2026, a series of widespread air alerts were reported across Ukraine, with an emphasis on Kyiv and the Odesa region. Local Telegram channels reported a combined threat of ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
According to the channel Реальний Київ | Украина, an immediate alarm was declared in Kyiv due to the "detection of a ballistic missile threat from the Crimean Peninsula" as well as a "ballistic threat from the Bryansk region." At the same time, the channel reported an additional alarm due to UAV activity threatening the capital city.
Similar reports came from other channels: Труха⚡️Київ and Мій Київ | Світло confirmed reports of a ballistic threat from a cluster launched from the Crimean Peninsula. The channel НУ І ДНІПРО! 🇺🇦 even noted that these were "Zircon" type missiles. Simultaneously, the channel Київ Головне reported the "launch of ballistic missiles" from the Bryansk region, a detail also verified by ОПЕРАТИВНИЙ ІНФОРМ and by Повітряна Тривога 🚀 Карта Київська.
In the southern region, the channel Новости Одесса | Одеса reported a state of alert in the Odesa region due to an explicit threat of ballistic missiles arriving from the direction of Crimea. All sources cited here are local Ukrainian reporting channels focused on disseminating real-time alerts to residents, and they operate under the policy and reporting guidelines of Ukrainian security authorities during wartime.
