During the morning of June 2, 2026, Ukraine experienced a widespread wave of airstrikes using cruise missiles. According to reports from local Telegram sources, including news channels Мій Київ | Світло and Реальний Київ | Украина, numerous groups of missiles were identified moving toward the capital, Kyiv, and targeting key locations in the Vasylkiv, Obukhiv, and Bila Tserkva areas.
The Telegram channel ОПЕРАТИВНИЙ ІНФОРМ, which focuses on operational reports, documented the missile trajectory across the Poltava, Cherkasy, and Kyiv regions. According to the channel, numerous missile groups were identified making their way toward the Myronivka and Kaharlyk areas. Reports indicated that this was a well-coordinated attack involving launches from multiple locations.
Residents in the area reported intense explosions during the attack. Local channels, identified with a clear pro-Ukrainian stance on public safety updates, transmitted real-time messages on missile progress with the aim of warning residents to seek shelter.
Toward 04:39 AM, an official announcement was published regarding the cancellation of the air alert in the Kyiv region, as also confirmed by Київ ІНФО | Новини Україна. Sources on the ground note that the level of alertness was especially high given the number of missile groups identified on their way to the center of the country.
