Alert for extensive missile and drone attack in Ukraine

During the night of June 1, 2026, Ukrainian Telegram channels reported increased activity by the Russian Air Force, leading to alerts of a large-scale missile and drone attack. According to the 'Реальна Війна' channel, dozens of aircraft were prepared for takeoff, including 6 Tu-95MS/160 aircraft, 6 Tu-22M3 bombers, and 6 MiG-31K aircraft, alongside the deployment of 'Kalibr' missile carriers in the Black Sea.

The channel, known for its pro-Ukrainian stance and direct reporting from the field, noted that "Russia is ready to deploy its entire rocket weapon arsenal" during the night. These reports were confirmed by the 'ЦАПЛІЄНКО_UKRAINE FIGHTS' channel, which is identified with intensive military coverage and noted that this was preparation for operational launches.

Later in the night, actual takeoffs of the strategic bombers began. According to an update from 'Реальна Війна', takeoffs of Tu-95MS and Tu-160 aircraft were identified, and Kh-101 missile launches were carried out. Military monitors, such as the source known as "Vanyok," estimated that the attack was expected to be carried out in two separate waves.

Simultaneously, the 'єРадар' channel issued specific warnings for the Kyiv and Poltava regions due to the danger of Kh-22/32 missiles, while in Kyiv, residents were documented seeking shelter in metro stations as reported by 'БДСН'. The situation remained tense throughout the night with continuous reports of aircraft identified within range of Ukrainian airspace.
