Massive drone attack on Dnipro region
During the day of May 31, 2026, the city of Dnipro and neighboring regions experienced an intense air attack involving the deployment of drones (referred to in sources as 'Mopeds') which, according to Дніпро Alerts 🚀 🚨, are equipped with cameras and operated remotely by Russian operators. The channel, which serves as a local alert and situation assessment channel, reported that the vehicles performed complex maneuvers over urban centers and strategic infrastructure such as 'Yuzhmash' (Pivdenmash).
Throughout the day, Дніпро Alerts 🚀 🚨 continuously updated on the entry of drones from various directions – north, east, and south – while emphasizing that the vehicles are "manually navigated and constantly changing direction". The alert authorities emphasized that residents must stay away from windows and refrain from filming videos, as "filming the work of defense forces helps the enemy".
In cumulative reports, it was noted that over 2,000 reports were received from citizens via the ePPO application, which assisted defense forces in operating interception systems. This Telegram channel made sure to note that the situation was defined as "Red Alert" for many hours, with transitions to "Orange" as air activity temporarily subsided or was directed to other areas.
At the same time, Дніпро Оперативний 🇺🇦| Війна, another channel covering security events in Dnipro, confirmed the presence of hostile aircraft over the city and called on residents to provide anonymous information about their movements. As of the evening hours, the situation in the region began to stabilize, with a transition to "Yellow" status announced in most areas, although tension around the front-line areas remained.
