During the day (May 22, 2026), intensive activity of jet-powered unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) was reported in the skies over Ukraine. According to reports from the Air Force Command of Ukraine, a jet-powered drone was identified heading toward Kremenchuk, arriving from the southeast.
At the same time, the monitoring network єРадар | Повітряна тривога | Ракетна небезпека reported several jet-powered drones performing complex maneuvers in the Nizhyn and Olishivka areas. According to the channel, these are likely "guided drones" (Mesh-drones), capable of making course corrections, performing aerial turns, and searching for high-value targets, such as air defense systems. One of the reports noted that such a drone was moving on a path directed straight toward the capital city, Kyiv.
The reports indicate that the vehicles are not only flying according to pre-set coordinates but are being actively operated to locate targets in the field.
