During May 22, 2026, extensive aerial activity by Russian forces was reported over Ukrainian territory. According to the channel 🔊⚠️єРадар | Повітряна тривога | Ракетна небезпека, a movement of a "pair of jet UAVs" was detected moving from the Sumy region towards the Poltava region in this message.

At the same time, the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Army reported targeted strikes using guided aerial bombs (KAB). According to the Air Force announcement, launches of these bombs were detected towards the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.

In another sector, the Ukrainian Air Force noted that guided bomb launches were also carried out towards the northeast of the Kharkiv region. The reporting sources, identified with the Ukrainian air defense system, focus on providing real-time alerts to the civilian population regarding aerial threats and missile and bomb launches.
