Changes in traffic arrangements in Kyiv: Extensive infrastructure works

Kyiv residents are urged to prepare for significant traffic disruptions due to development and maintenance works on several of the capital's main arteries. The official channel of the Kyiv City Administration (KMDA) reports that capital works (comprehensive renovation) are being carried out at the interchange on Brovarsky Avenue. As of now, traffic at the interchange is completely blocked for the replacement of infrastructure, installation of new safety railings, paving of bicycle lanes, and upgrading of lighting systems. According to KMDA, the works will be carried out in compliance with accessibility principles, and the municipality commits to completing the main phase of the works by the end of 2026.

In addition, Mayor Vitali Klitschko reports progress on the renovation of Miska Street, a project that began last March. According to Klitschko, the infrastructure on this street had not been renovated since 1996, and given the heavy traffic loads of heavy vehicles and private cars arriving from the Kyiv region, the works were necessary. The project includes widening lanes and upgrading drainage systems, with the works being carried out under partial closure.

At the same time, the "Real Kyiv" Telegram channel reports on temporary traffic restrictions on the Northern Bridge. From May 22 at 12:00 until May 25 at 19:00, limited traffic is expected due to maintenance work, with vehicles being diverted to the outer lanes only.
