[62127] Extensive UAV attack on the Kyiv region: Threats to critical infrastructure in the Vyshhorod area
Security tension around Kyiv: Multiple UAV attacks
Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian monitoring agencies reported a wave of penetrations by "Shahed" type UAVs, including jet-powered versions, which moved toward the capital Kyiv and the Vyshhorod area. According to reports, the drones performed maneuvers in the area of the hydroelectric power station (HES) and nearby locations such as Petrivtsi and Demydiv.
The Kyiv INFO channel reported repeated sirens following the penetration of jet UAVs into the airspace. At the same time, the monitor channel noted that at least two UAVs were documented moving in circular paths over the Vyshhorod area and the dam, raising concerns regarding their strategic targets.
Military and operational sources, including the Kyiv Dome channel and the eRadar channel, reported that some of the vehicles "moved with the goal of approaching Kyiv" as noted on Kyiv Dome. Simultaneously, the Operativny Inform channel indicated that the drones were spotted on various vectors, including penetrations from the north of the country and other areas, which led to increased readiness in areas such as Hostomel and Dmytrivka.
Despite the high level of concern, monitoring agencies issued messages toward the end of the event regarding the end of the danger. The Kyiv Dome channel officially stated: "The danger alert has been canceled." The reported information was collected from local Telegram channels specializing in real-time reporting on aerial threats in Ukraine, which serve as a primary source of information for the civilian population during attacks.
