Widespread public transport disruptions in Kyiv following a nightly attack
Following an attack that occurred overnight (May 14, 2026), the Kyiv Municipality announced, via the official Kyiv Municipality channel (KMDA), the closure of central streets and changes to public transport routes. The Kyiv Patrol Police stated that various streets, including Kholodnoyarska Street and Bratstva Tarasivtsiv Street, have been closed to traffic to address the aftermath of the events.
The official Kyiv Municipality channel (KMDA) noted that bus lines 19 and 72 have changed their routes, with a later update stating that line 72 has returned to operating on its original route, although delays in schedules are possible. At the same time, local media outlets such as Realnyi Kyiv and Kyiv Operative disseminated the full list of closures in order to help residents plan their routes.
Additional significant changes were recorded in the Darnytskyi district. According to the Kyiv Municipality and Kyiv Operative, buses on lines 104, 108, 109, 22, and 45 are currently bypassing the "Kharkivska" metro station due to the closure of transport axes in the area.
Security and transport authorities recommend that residents of the capital stay updated via official information channels, including the "Zminy Rukhu | Kyivpastrans" channel, to receive regular updates on the return of transport to normal service.
