[59454] Large-scale Russian wave of attacks on Kyiv: Reports of missile and UAV launches
Heavy air attack wave on Kyiv
During the day, a significant escalation in Russia's air attacks on the capital city of Kyiv was recorded. According to reports on the Всевидящее ОКО: Україна channel, the city was attacked simultaneously from several directions using cruise and ballistic missiles. The Україна Online: Новини | Політика channel confirmed that the missiles were launched both from strategic bombers ("Tupolev" aircraft) and from ballistic systems.
Footage distributed on social media shows the moments of impact of missiles and UAVs on residential buildings in the Darnytskyi district area. The Київ | Times channel reported debris falling near the Kyiv reservoir and also documented the impact of a "Shahed" drone on a residential building. Eyewitnesses and monitoring agencies reported a wave of up to 10 missiles that penetrated the capital's airspace in different volleys, while Patriot-type defense systems operated intensively to repel the threats.
Against the backdrop of the targeted attack, the Всевидящее ОКО: Україна channel notes that according to cumulative monitoring data, over the last 24 hours, Russia launched about 1,300 "Shahed" UAVs and about 50 missiles at various targets across Ukraine. These channels, which are identified with a clear pro-Ukrainian line, emphasize the intensity of the attack and the damage caused to civilian infrastructure.
As of the morning hours, these channels reported relative quiet and the end of the launch wave, as the authorities began assessing damage and conducting scans in the various impact areas. No official information on casualties has been released as of this moment, but the scale of the launches indicates extensive use of resources by the Russian forces.
