Disruptions to public transport due to infrastructure failures in major Ukrainian cities

Throughout the day, several disruptions to public transport were recorded in the cities of Kyiv and Lviv, stemming from failures in the urban infrastructure.

In the capital, Kyiv, according to the Telegram channel Left Bank Kyiv, the movement of trams was temporarily suspended at 30 Boryspilska Street. According to the report, passengers are being transferred to replacement buses to ensure the continuity of traffic in the area.

At the same time, in the city of Lviv, temporary changes to bus routes were reported in the Sykhiv neighborhood. According to reports from Lvivych | News and Suspilne Lviv, the operations of lines 32, 46, 47A, and 53 were restricted due to a "provallya" (road collapse) near 109 Chervonoyi Kalyny Avenue, at the "Santa Barbara" terminal point.

The initial cause of the road collapse in Lviv was identified as "damage to the city heating network." Repair crews from the company "Lviv-Teplo-Energo" are currently working on-site to address the failure, while buses are forced to stop near the original station until the infrastructure works are completed.
