A difficult day on Ukraine's roads has claimed the lives of children in separate traffic accidents. The main incident took place in the village of Gatne in the Kyiv region, where a car hit two children riding an electric scooter. According to a report by the Ми Україна channel, the accident occurred in the evening when a Peugeot vehicle, driven by a 37-year-old man, collided with the scooter at an intersection. As a result of the collision, a 10-year-old boy was killed on the spot, and another 8-year-old boy was evacuated to the hospital with severe injuries.
Additional reports from local channels such as Труха⚡️Київ and Киевский Движ emphasize the severity of the event, with some reports including visual documentation of the scene. Київ Оперативний noted that the incident occurred on Klenova Street and that law enforcement authorities have already opened a criminal investigation under Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
At the same time, Суспільне Львів reported on another accident in the Lviv region, in the village of Stanimir. In this case, two teenagers aged 12 and 13 were riding an electric moped. According to Труха⚡️Львів, the 12-year-old boy lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn. As a result, the 13-year-old suffered severe head injuries and was diagnosed with a concussion, which led to his hospitalization in the intensive care unit.
