[48390] Deadly wave of Russian strikes in Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih and Nikopol region
Wave of Russian attacks on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast on May 3
Over the past day, Ukraine has experienced a series of widespread air strikes by Russia on the Dnipropetrovsk region. In Dnipro, direct missile hits were reported on civilian districts, including student dormitories. According to the Regional Military Administration (OVA), civilians who were in shelters at the time of the attack were evacuated by rescue forces. Truexa Network notes that the attack was carried out using four missiles fired within a short 10-minute interval.
At the same time, the city of Kryvyi Rih was attacked by drones that struck high-rise residential buildings. The Regional Administration Spokesperson confirmed that five people were injured, including two children aged one and four, who suffered from smoke inhalation. Local sources, such as Dnipro Operativ, emphasized the scale of the disaster, describing how rescue forces had to pull children from their parents' arms out of the burning building's ruins.
In another incident in the Krynychanska area, Battalion Monaco reported a drone strike near a gas station, which caused a truck fire and damaged a bus carrying about 40 children. According to reports, the children managed to evacuate the area before the impact, but six people were injured, including a 10-year-old child and a 21-year-old pregnant woman. Ukrainska Pravda further noted that the Nikopol area was attacked more than 10 times by drones throughout the night, which led to the injury of a 69-year-old man.
The reporting sources, which are consistently identified with pro-Ukrainian positions and sharp condemnation of Russian aggression (such as Truexa Network and Ukrainska Pravda), present the events as part of "deliberate Russian terror against civilians." Official data regarding casualties are being updated constantly as rescue operations continue.
