Police in Kyiv announced the arrest of a 46-year-old Kyiv region resident on suspicion of opening fire at a car in the Sviatoshynskyi district. According to reports on Труха⚡️Україна, the incident took place on Maria Street, when the suspect fired 4 shots from his vehicle at a car containing a mother and a child. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. As reported by ТСН новини, the police have opened a criminal proceeding for hooliganism, and the suspect faces up to 7 years in prison. A search of the detainee's vehicle did not yield any weapons.
At the same time, reports on BBC NEWS Україна pointed to another serious incident in the Rivne region, where a soldier who had deserted from service (SZCh) was arrested after opening fire on a Recruitment Center (TCC) team and a police officer. According to Оперативний ЗСУ, the shooter hid in the basement of an abandoned building in the village of Verba until he was located by security forces. In his possession, an arsenal was found including an AK-12 assault rifle, magazines, a grenade, and other military equipment.
In Odesa, Новости Одесса reported on an assault against an army officer who had returned from captivity by unidentified persons in military uniforms, an event that led to the opening of an official investigation by recruitment authorities to determine if the individuals were territorial recruitment center personnel. Likewise, in other cities such as Kyiv and Kharkiv, cases of violent robberies and car arsons were documented against the backdrop of criminal motives or malicious acts related to the war.
The reports from numerous Telegram channels present a picture of rising internal security tensions, as the National Police reports on dozens of search and arrest operations across the country aimed at combating the proliferation of illegal weapons.
