Wave of drone attacks in Eastern Ukraine
Today, April 30, 2026, intense activity of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) was reported in Eastern Ukraine. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine issued a series of alerts throughout the day, indicating the movement of aerial vehicles in the Kharkiv region area, with some making their way west towards the Poltava region.
According to reports from the Ukrainian Air Force, aircraft were detected in the area of Staryi Saltiv and Velykyi Burluk in the Kharkiv region. Subsequently, authorities updated that an additional group of drones was moving in a direct line towards the Poltava region. The channel єРадар | Повітряна тривога added that a "pair of drones" was identified in the Poltava region moving towards the city of Karlivka.
Local media outlets, including Суспільне Харків, monitored the Air Force updates and emphasized the westward movement of the vehicles in the Kharkiv region. These media outlets, which are affiliated with official state reports, are warning the population against the danger of loitering munitions and airstrikes.
As of this hour, security officials in Ukraine continue to monitor aerial threats. Residents in the affected regions are requested to follow the instructions of the home front command and enter protected spaces upon hearing the sirens.
