Ukrenergo announced that on July 2, there are no scheduled power outages planned across Ukraine due to a drop in temperatures and an increase in electricity imports.
Improvement in the situation of Ukraine's electricity sector
Following a period of severe restrictions, Ukrenergo officially announced that on Thursday, July 2, no scheduled power outages are expected across Ukraine. Official sources, including Suspilne news network as well as TSN network, reported that the situation has improved significantly compared to recent days.
The decision was made, according to reports by ҐРУНТ and Ukrenergo, thanks to the drop in temperatures in neighboring countries and the increase in the capacity to import electricity from outside of Ukraine. These data points represent a marked improvement compared to July 1, when residents in cities such as Dnipro and Odesa had to deal with planned outages due to the heavy load on the power grid and the effects of Russian attacks.
Despite the positive news, various media sources emphasize the importance of conservation. The Operational AFU channel and other media outlets are calling on the public to continue using electricity in a controlled manner.
