The Turkish Meteorological Service has issued warnings for today, June 22, 2026, following expectations of stormy weather in various regions of the country. According to a report by Sputnik Türkiye, rain and thunderstorms are expected in most parts of northern and inland Turkey, with an emphasis on the eastern Black Sea and the Eastern Anatolia region.
At the same time, the Gündem Analiz channel reported that in the southwestern Marmara region and the northern Aegean coasts, "strong winds at a speed of 40-60 km/h" are expected. According to the forecast, the rains will be concentrated in cities and regions such as Bolu, Karabük, Niğde, Kayseri, Rize, and Artvin.
Despite the local atmospheric instability, temperatures are expected to remain around the normal seasonal average. In the major cities, maximum temperature estimates were measured at 31 degrees in Bursa, 30 degrees in Istanbul and Kırklareli, and up to 33 degrees in Denizli and Muğla, as noted in Gündem Analiz.
The meteorological services continue to monitor the development of the system, with media outlets emphasizing the need for caution in areas exposed to winds and heavy rains.
