Wave of violence in Turkey: Stabbings in Bursa and murder in Istanbul
Over the past 24 hours, two severe violent incidents have been reported in Turkey, shocking the country. In Bursa, a violent brawl broke out between two neighboring business owners over parking. During the incident, a father and his son were stabbed, while the suspect involved was injured by a blow from a stick. According to news agency reports, heartbreaking moments were recorded at the scene as the injured father tried to save the life of his son, who was suffering from stab wounds to his chest, while crying out: "My son, don't die."
Simultaneously, in Istanbul, another grave incident occurred. The İHA news agency reported a murder at the Metrobus station in the Beylikdüzü district. According to the report, an argument that developed between passersby over "looking the wrong way" ("Neden yan baktın?") escalated into a fatal assault in which one person was killed.
On the Haber Gündem website, additional details about the incident in Istanbul were revealed, noting that the suspects, a father and his son, followed the victim, Ferdi Aras, after they got off the Metrobus and stabbed him to death. The reports include new footage showing the circumstances of the case, which, according to some sources, were related to defending family honor.
These events illustrate an increase in public alertness regarding street violence cases in Turkey. While the reports from Bursa focused mainly on the human tragedy and the father's cries of pain, the reports from Istanbul emphasize the shocking nature of the murder, which was committed following a seemingly minor conflict.
