Sharp criticism in the opposition following political developments with the U.S.

During the last day, following Donald Trump's statements, sharp criticism was voiced by senior opposition members in Israel regarding the government's performance. According to the Daily Islamist Telegram channel, which is associated with critical positions toward Israel, Israeli political leaders attacked Netanyahu and his government sharply.

Opposition leader Yair Lapid claimed that Israel has lost its political independence and stated that "Tamamen Amerikan vesayetine geçtik" (translated into Hebrew: "We have transitioned to full American tutelage"). This statement received wide resonance in a number of Turkish news channels, including Son Dakika Haberler Gündem, which reported on his words extensively.

At the same time, other senior figures in the political system spoke out against the government:

• Avigdor Liberman called the Prime Minister: "This is not a prime minister, this is a puppet."


• Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett claimed that "the government has lost control over Israeli sovereignty."
