Concentration of advertising and promotional activity on Turkish Telegram
On May 30, 2026, an extensive network of advertising messages was identified in Turkish Telegram channels focusing on sports, entertainment, and news. The bulk of the activity involved promoting online gambling sites, which are exploiting festive occasions to attract new and existing users.
Gambling promotions and bonuses
Several channels, including Türkçe Dublaj Filmler and Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü, published a variety of enticing offers. Türkçe Dublaj Filmler offered "100 free spins worth 50 Lira each" to users who deposit a minimum amount of 500 Lira. Simultaneously, this channel published a refer-a-friend promotion that grants 50% of the friend's deposit as a bonus to the user's account.
In addition, the channel Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü promoted deals under the heading "BAYRAM ŞENLİĞİNDE", offering cashback on losses (Kayıp Bonusu) at gambling sites such as MercureCasino, as well as a "code for activating a lucky wheel" that grants free spins on deposits over 500 Lira.
Sponsored commercial campaigns
Alongside the gambling advertisements, a sponsored message from the Turkish bank Garanti BBVA was distributed among dozens of Turkish news channels, such as Son Dakika Haberler Gündem and TÜRK SAVUNMA SANAYİ. The campaign under the title "BonusFlaş" offers users a chance to win shopping vouchers worth 40,000 Lira for Amazon.com.tr or Pazarama via daily sweepstakes.
It should be noted that while the bank's campaign is officially sponsored, the additional content published presents a distinct marketing character for the online gambling industry, which utilizes popular leisure and sports channels to reach a wide target audience.
